About the Book

State of Independence is a book set in an alternate history which came very close to happening. A vote to rid the UK of Scotland was narrowly defeated at the end of the 19th Century. This book creates a world where the parliament vote was successful and Scotland has become independent at the start of the 20th century. Flush with oil wealth the country is repossed by England under Margaret Thatcher.

Essentially, it becomes a Braveheart for the 20th and 21st century, though with a happier ending!

Shameless literary licence is taken with the reputation of public figures throughout the story.

State of Independence was written over a three year period from 1997. It's been published as a title for Amazon Kindle. 70% of books sold in the UK are through Amazon and by opting for this method, avoids printing costs, agents costs, publishers costs. And gives a pretty good read! It is around 500 pages long.

PLEASE NOTE. YOU DO NOT NEED A KINDLE READER! Kindle reader software is free to download for the PC, Android, and even the iPhone.

About the author

As a result, he can't really walk and is condemned to spend his days at his desk, playing with numbers or writing, Or in other words, exactly what he did before the leukaemia onset.

Their results and work have been quoted in The Herald, The Telegraph, and rather a few major media outlets follow their daily report.

He's a past winner of various awards for writing, design, and software.
